What an incredible experience. We did this cooking class as a date night for my birthday in NYC and came in all the way from Toronto. We learned a lot and had an incredible time but here's the best part: This is gonna make me sound a little shallow, but I feel like I have to share it because it's such an awesome perk of booking this experience. The coolest part about taking one of Chef Mateus' cooking classes is that when I make these recipes back home for my friends, I get tell them how, "the former head chef of the US embassy in Paris taught me how to make it." The way the tone in the room changes and everybody leans in a little bit closer to hear more. It's a little clout-chasey, but it feels awesome everytime. Honestly, it was one of the single best things I've ever spent money on. Thank you Chef Mateus for such a memorable day.

I’m a beginner and this was a great class to get into cooking and try meals that were simple yet delicious. He shares good tips without disrupting the flow of the class. I felt I got a lot of hands on practice and food came out so well! Chef Mateus is very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I took a cooking class with Chef Mateus and had an amazing time! We've taken cooking classes throughout Europe but we have never learned as much as we did here. Instead of just following a recipe, Mateus explained a variety of cooking techniques and tips while we made the different delicious plates. The class takes place in his professional kitchen, lasts about 3 hours, and you can bring your own wine. We will definitely be taking another class in the future with Chef Mateus and highly recommend his class!

I took my girlfriend to Mateus' Thai cooking class for her birthday celebration. It was BYOB in his professional kitchen in Brooklyn. It was intimate (just us and one other couple), professional (he told us all about his Michelin experience), and lots of fun! We cooked three courses, all of which I feel like were the right level of difficulty. He have lots of tips and tricks, and was extremely friendly. I would come to another class -- or even hire him for a private event. It was a blast!

My boyfriend and I decided to do a cooking class to try something new and Chef Mateus did not disappoint. He's extremely knowledgeable and being that I am not someone who knows much about the art of cooking, he made it very easy. The food we made was delicious and I definitely learned a lot. I would definitely take another class!
