From our initial contact, Gustavo was incredibly helpful, guiding me on the appropriate number of staff needed and assisting with the event timeline. First and foremost, a huge shout-out to Tony, the team captain, as well as Manny and Isiltan at the bar for expertly managing such a large crowd!
Their professionalism and friendliness set the tone for the entire event. The bar service was impeccable, with drinks served swiftly and with a welcoming smile, ensuring that guests were well taken care of throughout the evening.

From our first contact - - and at every point -- we felt confident and thrilled that we had picked the right team. Gustavo is smart, insightful, cheerful, resourceful, creative, and in charge.
Even though we were putting together the largest event at our home since our wedding in 2008, he made us feel comfortable, relaxed and excited to be throwing a retirement bash for 110+ guests.
Normally a huge event at our home
would be very stressful -- Not with Gustavo, he always made us feel great, and we were so happy that we had someone as experienced as him to navigate every detail.
Gustavo helped with everything. Linens, caterer, furniture, beverages, decor, party favors, layout and logistics. Where it was easy for us to simply purchase things ourselves like beverages, he saved us money -- his staff and bartenders did all the work of serving, prep and tear down. He even suggested a # so that guests could post their pictures to social media under our name. Brilliant.
Everything and everyone Gustavo recommended was top-notch. Our DJ Carlos could not have been better, the music was totally fun and upbeat -- our guests were thrilled with the entire event. The compliments flowed like champagne, and we owe it all to Gustavo and his team.
To be sure, there were a couple of glitches along the way, this or that got miscommunicated with the caterer (who incidentally WE had insisted on rather than going with Gustavo's recommended caterer). That was our mistake. Next time I would 100% go with whoever Gustavo recommends because he knows the best of the best!
Unlike a lot of events, making all of this happen was actually fun, every conversation we had with Gustavo, every meeting left us feeling better and more enthusiastic. Having thrown some of these parties with other event planners, I have to say I've never felt as happy and relaxed as I did with Gustavo. And his team.
Meanwhile, the response to our invite was huge -- in fact we ended up with a far bigger budget event than we had planned. And it was all worth it, every dollar. In fact because there had been a couple of minor glitches with the caterer, Gustavo offered us a make-good out of his own pocket...which we politely declined.
The truth is everything had been so fantastic, so beyond our expectations, and everyone was so happy -- his kind gesture was characteristic, but we said no, it was the best party ever and we were just grateful to have him at the helm.
Our party lasted for five hours, followed by an after party for about four hours: Gustavo even made sure that we had a staff member for the after party to make life easy. She was amazing.
Only one sad note - now that this event is done, I wish we had another one to look forward to!!
I chose Event Helpers LA because of the incredible reviews and five star ratings... Absolutely deserved, and I highly highly recommend this company.
Thank you so much, Gustavo and team! We are your biggest fans and are so thankful for everything you have done for us.
