Tee Kay5 StarGardena’s gem of a restaurant. Great food, atmosphere all with authentic food with a Hawaiian flair. I enjoyed a kalbi bento (it’s not on the menu but they will gladly make it for you with double Mac salad). I also had the famous chili which is THAT good. Not pictured is the somen salad which is a family recipe and is always a must. Leonard and his staff are friendly and engaging like our server Nancy.Sunday 5th October 2025

Jamie5 StarI loved my experience here!! It felt like a long-standing, family owned, locals’ favorite restaurant. The servers were attentive and kind as well!
We ordered chicken teriyaki bento and salmon teriyaki bento🍱. They both came out with various food with lots of veggies — broccoli salad, somen salad, a piece of orange, macaroni salad, teriyaki salmon/chicken, and rice. The broccoli salad seemed over-dressed, but other than that, everything else was just on-point!!! The salmon teriyaki had crispy exterior and moist and tender interior. The teriyaki sauce was also delicious and well-blended with the salmon. Somen salad was nicely seasoned and I liked the pumpkin seeds in the broccoli salad.
They also gave a warmed up bread with butter as an appetizer, and oh my God.. The bread was irresistibly fluffy and moist, and smelled and tasted fresh, and the butter was also VERY good!! We killed the whole thing instantly and got kind of too full for the main dishes 😛
Anyhow, I’m going back there and I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s down for an authentic local experience with a selection of Hawaiian and American foods!Saturday 9th February 2019
