In My opinion, there is no better place to buy quality meat then at Alexander's Prime Meats, Deli and Catering. Great selection of prepared items including soups, salads, and seafood. This is the old-fashioned butcher shop your grandparents talked about. Any cut of any meat is available. If they don't have it they will find it! Great selection of Kobe beef. The deli section has grilled items available by the pound or package. You can choose rare or well done. Always-fresh grilled items. I always have enjoyed their grilled tri-tip and brisket. The chicken and sausage are also favorites. Alexander's is located inside Howie's Market. It is very busy at times and you may have to take a number. I found that in mid-afternoon I did not have a long wait. Their parking lot is located directly outside the location. This business is worth a trip from anywhere to get quality and service not often found!

Best meat place in San Gabriel valley for prime cuts. I get from here Tomahawks, Wagyu, Filets and nowhere else. Even the burger patties are amazing.

I really like the quality of the meat here, but ordering by weight is frustrating. The butcher cuts the meat fresh using weight markers on the rope, so the size is clearly known while it’s being cut. I asked for a 2 lb pot roast and was given a 3.2 lb piece instead. It didn’t fit in my Dutch oven and was far more meat than two people need. This happens often enough that it feels less like a mistake and more like an upsell, which is disappointing.

From the moment I walked into the store the ambiance, smiles of the employees the willingness of everyone ready to assist was an indication that they were happy with their job. I personally haven’t seen meat that fresh in quite some time. I was pressed for time and out of options and they had exactly what I needed 10lb porchetta and the plate of beef ribs. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I offer the best to my customers and they helped me continue to be great.

Great people, very knowledgeable about all things meat and cooking. They carry a very large variety Prime meats even Japanese andAmerican Wagyu, as well as fish deli selections.
